The Metcalfe Hotel seamlessly merges modern design with historic architecture, creating a space filled with natural light, local art, and carefully selected furnishings. Through the preservation of exposed brick walls and classical mouldings, the design honours the heritage of the building while incorporating Parisian influences such as Art Deco-inspired features and cane furniture, giving the space a contemporary yet inviting feel.

The hotel's centrepiece is its five-story glass atrium, housing a café and lounge where guests can enjoy the ambiance of greenery, stone coffee tables, and comfortable seating bathed in natural light. With a focus on versatility, the space effortlessly transitions from daytime freshness to evening warmth, accentuating its sophisticated yet approachable charm and encouraging social interaction among guests. Designed by the Iron and Ivory team with Iron and Ivory Co Founder Kayla Pongrac.
